PRIME MEDICAL CENTRE IS MIXED BILLING PRACTICE !
Patients who will be eligible for
BULK BILL are:
- 1. Children 16 years and younger
- 2. Adults 65 years and older
- 3. Pension/Concession Card holders
- 4. Health Care Card holders
- 5. DVA Card holders
- 6. GP Management Plan, Team Care Arrangement Plan and Reviews
- 7. Health Assessments
- *All other patients will be MIXED BILL.

CONSULTATION FEES:
Standard consult (Less than 15 mins) : $70 ----- Out-of-pocket fee: $27.15
Long consult (15 to 30 mins) : $120 ----- Out-of-pocket fee: $37.10
TELEPHONE CONSULTATION FEES:
Standard consult : $60 ----- PRIVATE BILLING !
AFTER HOURS:
Standard consult (Less than 15 mins) : $85 ----- Out-of-pocket fee: $29.20
Long consult (15 to 30 mins): $135 ----- Out-of-pocket fee: $ 39.30
After Hours:
Saturday - 1pm onwards. Sunday and Public Holidays - Whole day
Mental Health Care Plan/ Review (out of pocket fee) ---- $45.00 - $35.00
Payment is required in full at the time of consultation. We accept cash, all major credits and EFTPOS.
Note: Mental Health Care Plan/Review, Follow up, Results, Recall and Script Renewal appointments are NOT Bulk Bill !!!
The following services and procedures will be PRIVATE BILL

- Worker's compensation related consults - (Patients need to pay privately until they receive the claim number!)
- Work related health assessment i.e. Pre-employment medical assessment
- Fitness for return to work and duty assessment
- Driver Licence Medical (Private and Commercial)
- Dangerous Good Licence
- HUET Medical Check
- Insurance Medical reports
- Lawyer Medical reports
- Non Medicare claimable paperwork etc.
- * Certain procedures may attract out-of-pocket fees, so please check with the receptionist for FEE SCHEDULE !
- * Gap-fee may be applicable for Allied Health appointments, so please check with the receptionist.
- * Telephone consults are not available if you have not attended our Medical Centre in the last 12 months.
- * PLEASE cancel your appointment three hours in advance, if you can not make it, otherwise, non-cancellation fees $30 will apply.
HOME VISIT:
A patient can arrange for a home visit if the criteria below are met:
- Are well known and regular patients of this practice
- Live within a 10km radius of the practice
- Where it is deemed by the GP to be safe and reasonable
- The patient has provided a phone number that you have called them back on
- Patient has the type of problem that necessitates a home visit such as:
- Acute illness
- Immobile
- Elderly
- Patients in final stages of terminal illness
- Unable to access the practice facilities due to disability
- As long as it is not an emergency, all emergencies must ring 000 for immediate assistance
If a home visit is not deemed safe or reasonable, a telehealth will be offered first.
If the doctor determines that a home visit is possible, there may be an out of pocket expense for the patient. The patient will be notified of this expense prior to the home visit consultation.
CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE CARE:
Our practice provides culturally appropriate care to patients.
Many of our doctors speak languages other than English.
We have GPs who speak Bengali, Burmese, Cantonese, Hakka, Hokkien, Hindi, Mandarin, Malay, Punjabi etc.
PRIVACY:
Prime Medical Centre is committed to protecting our patients' privacy according to the Privacy Act. Access to computer records containing your information is restricted to medical staff and password protected, with all hard copies of patient documents handled in a secure manner. A hard copy of our complete privacy policy is available on request at the reception.

MY HEALTH RECORD:
My Health Record is a secure online summary of your health information. You can control what goes into it, and who is allowed to access it. You can choose to share your health information with your doctors, hospitals and other healthcare providers. Please visit www.myhealthrecord.gov.au
IMMUNISATION:
The Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR) records information about immunisations given to children under the age of 7 years who live in Australia. Children under 7 years of age enrolled in Medicare are automatically included on the ACIR. If your child is not enrolled in Medicare they can be added when your doctor or health care provider sends the details of their immunisation to the ACIR. You can request a statement of immunisation at any time by visiting the ACIR website or by calling the ACIR on 1800 653 809 (free call).
Please note - ACIR is now called AIR - Australian Immunisation Register.
COMMUNICATING VIA EMAIL
Emails are checked periodically throughout the day and will usually be actioned within one business day. Please do not email us regarding an urgent matter.
If you need to speak with us urgently during our opening hours or do not receive a reply to your email, please contact us by phone.
